With the spring sports season just around the corner, it’s the perfect time to highlight our winter teams and their performance this year.
VARSITY BOYS BASKETBALL
“Nearly thirty high school boys played basketball this winter on the Titan’s freshman, junior varsity, and varsity teams! The varsity boys’ team finished its season on February 23rd, with a close loss to Cincinnati Christian in the tournament. Senior forward Darius Wilcher led the team with a career-high 27 points in his last high school game. Both Darius and junior guard Lucas Cannady earned First-Team All-MVC. The duo also earned Second-Team All-District honors. Senior guard Dorian Harrison and junior guard Evan Hovenga were two more consistent contributors for the Titans. They both earned Honorable Mention All-MVC. The varsity boys’ team had a 10-13 overall record, finished tied for second place in the MVC White Division, and went 6-2 in its final eight games of the basketball season. Good job, Titans!”

VARSITY GIRLS BASKETBALL
The girls’ varsity basketball team finished the 2025-2026 season with an overall record of 3-18, and a conference record of 2-6. Nylah Hassan had a great season for the Titans, capping off her senior year with a first team All-MVC award and an honorable mention selection for the Ohio Prep Sports Media Association’s All-District team. Lili’i Schafer and Kaylen Thurman-Ellison received All-MVC honorable mention awards.
VARSITY SWIMMING
“The high school swim team competed in the Ohio sectional meet and delivered an outstanding performance. Every member of the team achieved personal-best times, highlighting the hard work and dedication shown all season.
Top placers at our site included Leo Lamassa, who finished seventh in the 100 backstroke. The boys 200 freestyle relay placed seventh, while the 200 medley relay earned an eighth-place finish. Both relay teams consisted of Samir Kejo, Leo Lamassa, Griffin Siry and Iaasic Hammond.
A special shout-out goes to Samir Kejo for an incredible meet and his contributions in both individual and relay events. Kejo placed ninth in the 200 freestyle and seventh in the 500 freestyle. His performance in the 500 ranked 24th overall across all seven sectional sites, qualifying him for the district competition this Friday at Miami University. Congratulations, Samir!
Throughout the season, Kejo has shown tremendous dedication, often practicing twice a day to reach his goals. His commitment has paid off, as he has dropped an impressive 26 seconds in the 500 freestyle alone. The team is proud of his accomplishments and is excited to see him represent the school at districts.”
