SBEP Girls Soccer Standouts – We had three games this week. Our team had several girls score their first goals of the season including Loralie Hopkins, Melisa Roblero Escalante, Dior Phelps-Patterson and Maleya Birkenshaw-Ragor. Our junior Ashley Harris scored her first hat trick. We switched out our starting goalie and put senior Nylah Hassan in goal and she had two saves. We took the win over North College Hill. The next day we played a tough game against Western Hills. Our goalie Dior Phelps-Patterson was our player of the game. She had many tough saves that helped keep our score low even in the loss. Saturday we had another win over Dayton Ky. Our player of the game that game was our entire team. Our team came together showing grit and persistence in a very hard fought game. They had to use communication to work together for the win. Being a very young team this season, we have had many challenges to overcome. They have worked so hard and it showed this game. We are so proud of each of them.
